I have really been just pinning things for home and then slowly started pinning things for school. I am now a pinaholic. I check Pinterest every night before going to bed. I even heard myself say I wished this app let me pin this. I like having a place that has several things all in one place and if I need something more than likely I will find it will a little looking.
I have really enjoyed being a Panther Pinner (pinning for the school district). I get to see all the things that my colleagues pin and add to the collection. We have a great group of educators that really care and love their jobs.
Thanks for your work as a Panther Pinner and your support. I was pretty sure it would take off, but you never know! So I appreciate hearing that you like the collection we have created.
ReplyDeleteIf you come across something that can't be pinned, try pinstamatic.com. I've used it a lot and it works pretty well!
I would like to see what you come up with for using it in the classroom. I think that it is a great idea. I have heard the term 20% time tossed around a bit. Maybe it's a way to include pinterest in your room.
ReplyDeleteI really like Panther Pinners too! It is fun to see what colleagues are pinning and nice to know that I will probably not end up at a site where they are selling something! Great job on your blog, Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about pinstamatic.com, Mickie!
I started using Pinterest after my daughter introduced it to me. My first boards were similiar to hers- recipes, fashion, inspirational quotes, and travel. I finally started exploring Speech pins. I made the same mistake many have made by stuffing all of the pins onto one board. I still have alot to do with organizing my boards. I was excited to read 16 Ways Educators Use Pinterest. I plan using the ideas this year.
